EAE Lighting ‘Corporate Social Responsibility Policy’ emphasises the basic principles and tenets that constitute the core of our corporate social responsibility efforts and just how important they are to us. This policy is an integral part of our Code of Business Conduct, our Company Policy and our Corporate Values, and is applied in all our operations throughout the entire value chain. Our company’s Corporate Social Responsibility Policy and Code of Business Conduct are the reference documents for all our in-house practices. All our employees and managers are obliged to act in accordance with this policy and to apply and support EAE Lighting’s related procedures and checks in line with the requirements therein. We expect all our stakeholders involved in the procurement of goods and services to act in accordance with the principles and tenets of this policy to the extent they apply to the respective party and transaction, and to take the necessary steps to ensure this.
As part of our World Environment Day corporate awareness activities, we gave the message of “healthy life, clean environment and a clean future” by playing the sport “Plogging” on the green in our OIZ.
At EAE Lighting, we plan to make plogging, which our employees play voluntarily, a tradition within our OIZ and to play it with more participants on longer routes.
Plogging (pick up rubbish and run) is a port first organised in Stockholm in Sweden in 2016. The sport gets its name from the Swedish word “plokka upp” meaning “pick up” and “jogga” meaning jogging. Done by people who want to pick up rubbish while moving (jogging or walking fast) along a certain route, thus contributing to the ecosystem. It began in Sweden and has spread all over the world.
We visited our four-legged friends at the IBB (Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality) Kısırkaya Temporary Animal Care Shelter and were told all about the shelter, animals’ basic needs, welfare and adoption issues, and the law and care system that will come into effect as part of our efforts to voluntarily contribute to finding homes for them. We helped our four-legged friends by providing pet foot.
